Conclusion

In conclusion, sirens were mythological monsters that would call in sailors with their voices and drown them at sea. One of the first times they are mentioned is in Homer’s The Odyssey, when Odysseus was warned about them by Circe. There is no one piece of evidence that confirms the existence of sirens, and it is impossible, both scientifically and biologically, for humans to have the features of both birds and humans. Today, sirens are symbolic metaphors for temptation and seduction.
